The internal structure of the single-shaft shredder is a little different from the double-shaft shredder. It has one mesh under the the blades. It cuts and shreds the waste wires and cables, and crushes them through the mesh. Compared to double-shaft cable shredder, the shredded wires and cables are much shorter. But the bite of the blades is not strong enough to roll the wires and cables in. And these short pieces of wires and cables don’t go fast enough through the mesh, which would be squeezed together, turned into small balls, become tough, then they are too big to go through the mesh, make the shredder stuck and lower its capacity.

Actually as long as the wires and cables are not that long, only 10 centimeters long or more differences between wires and cables don’t affect the capacity of the copper wire recycling machines.
